Kia Ora MissNZ,

Are your other phones in the house are with Vodafone or Telecom?

You might need to check if your 8100 BB is unlocked. And are you using BIS on your pearl?

Above 2 took words right outta my mouth. Also make sure to download the correct service books once you get the SOS problem solved otherwise your internet, txting, mms will be severely crippled.

Invalid SIM card = Locked device on a network for which the device is locked to another.

SOS = Normally means no signal or bad SIM card.

I would suggest you get a SIM swap from your carrier

I was wondering if your Pearl working fine?

Did Vodafone shop able to help you to fix this "sos" happening on your Pearl?
