Default SMS nitpick

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I'm a little behind the times and have just upgraded my BB to OS 5. In my SMS folder all my contacts names appear with (Mobile) after them, and it's bugging the hell out of me. I know it's their mobile number. Is there any way of changing this so just their name appears, like in OS4?

I'm not so keen on the new interface for SMS threads either. With different colour backgrounds and a tiny box to type your reply it just looks cramped. Is there anyway of changing the colour scheme so it's like the inbox--just white? And is there a way of turning smilies off so they just appear as text instead of faces?

TIA

You can downgrade the OS to remove the threaded SMS function users have begged for several years.

The smilies... nothing new there.

When I had a samsung they had the option of whether smilies turned into emoticons or stayed as text rather then <--these that's why I was wondering whether BB have a similar function... obviously not.

I never said I didn't like it threaded, I just hate typing into such a small text field which only looks smaller because it's black, hence asking whether I can change the colour. Hope OS6 is better then this.

Any more input on how I can get rid of (mobile) after my contacts names when it appears in inbox?
