Default Blackberry tour won't charge past 65%

I have a blackberry tour. I have to find the sweet spot between my phone and my charger so it will charge. I've tried different chargers and they all are the same, so I'm assuming it's my phone. I can deal with this for awhile, but last night my phone was in the yellow and then just completely died. I finally got it charged up again and working and it won't charge fully. The bar is close to full but won't go all the way full, and when i check the batt percent it says 65%. It's been like this for an hour so far. This explains why I didn't know it died on me last night, because it seems like the calibration between the bar and the actual percentage is off.

I don't have a problem finding the right spot for it to charge, but this whole battery thing is annoying. Do you think I need a new battery, or is it doing this because of the charger port ?

It could be either, since you ruled out the charger. You can try a new battery easily enough.

I was hoping it wouldn't come to that, but it looks like it might have to.
