From your description, the short battery life you experienced at the onset of your issues could have been the battery gone bad (they have a finite life) or you had apps running that were constantly hitting the network.

Your first step is to get a good battery that is charged. Not one you think is good, but one you know is good. Insert that battery and see what happens. If the handset boots, great, carry on, but at your first opportunity read Maximum Battery Life - BlackBerryFAQ.

If the device doesn't boot, you will need to wipe the device and reinstall the OS. To wipe, see How do I wipe the BlackBerry using Jl Cmder? - BlackBerryFAQ and What to do next if Jl Cmder will not connect and wipe - BlackBerryFAQ. Then reinstall the OS.

Hi there, I have been having the same problem with my Storm 2 phone. I have the Red LED, followed by white screen, then red LED problem. Known as "Constant Re-boot". I have tried to revive the Blackberry, JLCMDER route, using desktop manager, BBSAK etc. on Windows 7 and Windows XP pc's.
What I would like to know, is it possible to have a shop totally re-flash the blackberry? Or do I have a dead logic board? I have tried around 15 re-installs, but still have the "Wait for device initialization" problem in the process.. So I never quite get there.
Another forum implies it is a totally dead phone, do I have a chance?
Thanks

Ash
