Default No e-mail setup icon after Shrink-A-OS - T-Mobile

Please Login to Remove!

I installed 6.0.0.706 on my 9700 -- used Shrink-A-OS because I was having memory problems in the last version. I purposely excluded e-mail setup from the OS because I can easily do that online with T-Mobile.

The problem is, to get calendar sync working, it appears that you need that program/icon to complete the activation process.

I tried deleting/re-adding the e-mail account and re-sending the service books a few times, but this message continues to appear under the e-mail account on My T-Mobile:
Quote:
1. On the Home screen, click the Setup icon and click Email Accounts or Email Settings.
2. After you open the application, the security activation starts. When security activation is complete, calendar synchronization automatically begins.
I know I can reload the OS to fix everything, but I'd rather not spend the time to do that. Any ideas?

I believe reloading the OS is your only option at this point.

Well that was a lot easier than I thought.

I re-installed the 6.0.0.706 OS on my computer, ran Shrink-A-OS -- all of my previous selections were preserved. I deselected e-mail setup then ran the loader. Loader didn't have to go through the whole OS reload process; it just added the package and everything was done. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.
