Default Blackberry torch 9810 charging

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

I have a torch 9810 that will charge with the mains charger but will not charge with a usb not in the car or attached to pc or laptop. On the pc it first says installing driver then displays a message saying the usb connection cannot charge this devise.

What should I do?

You need to download and install the drivers.

JS is right, to charge off of a PC you need to have the driver installed so that the PC will switch the port to high current mode.

As for charging in cars, you need a cable designed to charge a BlackBerry device, for essentially the same reason. If you have a cigarette lighter to USB voltage converter then the cable that came with your 9810 should work.
