My 9930 blinks the notification LED red very quickly when on a call. Cycling speakerphone sometimes stops this behavior. Is this normal? I don't think it's another notification since it blinks much more rapidly (probably more than once per second) than the normal notification.

Blinking stops immediately when the call is ended.

I don't think that is the LED you're seeing. I think that is the light sensor to tell if the phone is against your face. It shows as red and is very close to the notification LED.

Thanks for responding. I do see two clear holes, with one being the notification light, and the other probably is the proximity sensor.

I'm pretty sure, however, that the notification light is actually blinking. It's also the same bright intensity as a notification, only blinks much faster.

My 9930 had a very bright sensor.

Just for the sake of closing this out, I found this is actually an IT policy that has been turned on for me. I happened to be looking through the policies, and it's specifically called out.

My only guess is that IT wants to make sure you notice the phone is still active before chatting around it. Not the worst idea I suppose.
